Jacque Fresco: The Genius You've Never Heard Of

Jacque Fresco has been described by many as the Da Vinci of our time. He is an industrial engineer, architectural designer, social engineer and futurist. Jacque works out of a compound in Florida known as The Venus Project, where he and other similarly-minded thinkers can ponder what is possible to achieve in the world we live.

One of the most interesting of his many, many ideas was a plan for a Circular City (but sadly, no Circuit City). It employs many opportunities for growth through what Fresco calls a resource based economy. So, if reading about technology and the future (with AWESOME models, imagery and computer renderings) doesn't make your head feel like it's going to explode, take a look at The Venus Project Website. Or, watch the documentary on Jacque, Future By Design, on dvd. Maybe you'd rather just check out some of his videos on YouTube. Heck, you can even be friends with Jacque on MySpace. Not bad for a dude in his 90s...
