For Those About to Air Rock...
So, last night I watched a movie with my friend AVN. We've been known for finding some really under-the-radar types of flicks (so, expect to see more stories beginning like this). Now, every once in a while we watch a movie that makes me say, "Why have I never heard of this before?" Last night was such a night.
The movie was a documentary called Air Guitar Nation. It follows the first two American competitors in their quest to win the Air Guitar World Championship, which is inexplicably held each year in Finland (although their motto of "World Peace and Air Guitar Forever" is pretty sweet).
American competitor David "C-Diddy" Jung puts the rest of us amateur air guitarists to shame:

Welcome and What's This All About
Well, if you are reading this, you've successfully navigated to my latest blog. Now then, what in the world is it?
Put simply, this is a place for me to unload my brain. If you're not intimately familiar with me (and few are), you might be surprised that I am exposed to (and expose myself to, heh) lots and lots of random information. There are so many different forms that this type of learning embodies, and I tend to absorb more than my fair share. It varies from internet phenomena (such as a YouTube video featuring a dramatic chipmunk) to obscure movies (The Cure for Insomnia has a running time of 87 hours) to anything else I find remotely interesting (Did you know you can create your own Simpsons character?).
So, stop by whenever you have, as the title suggests, time to kill. Take a look at what I have discovered and then leave your comments on the subject. If you feel the desire to share weird stuff with your friends, email them a link to my posts.
There's a lot of crazy stuff out there... enjoy it. And, if you find something cool, help me post it here.
P.S. Here's my Simpsons character...
